Supplier-role comparison · Source review September 8, 2026

The finished trailer may look like one product, but responsibility can pass through several hands. MOBITRUCK owns its contracted shell stage. The U.S. vehicle-stage manufacturer owns the assembly and certification work it supplies. The final builder owns the interior, equipment and technical systems written into its scope. Regulators make their own decisions, and the operator keeps the business and site obligations unless a contract clearly moves coordination elsewhere.

One company can perform several stages. The paperwork should still show where each promise begins and ends, including who answers when that part needs correction.

01Why the distinction matters to a buyer

The end customer sees one trailer. The project team may see four products joined in sequence:

  1. an exterior shell design and prepared component package;
  2. a rolling trailer stage with U.S. vehicle identity and certification work;
  3. a completed commercial interior with selected equipment and systems;
  4. an operating business reviewed by state and local authorities.

Confusion begins when a warranty for one stage is described as a warranty for all four, or when a vehicle record is presented as approval to operate a food business.

02The current MOBITRUCK path in plain English

StageCurrent leadWhat the proposal should identify
Exterior concept and shell-kit packageMOBITRUCKModel, configuration, openings, finish, components, checks and shipment scope from Estonia
U.S. rolling-shell stageConcession NationAssembly, running gear, American VIN, applicable vehicle-certification work, unit records and supplied-scope warranty
Final commercial completionConcession Nation or another qualified builderInterior, equipment, utilities, ventilation, fire, HVAC, documents, tests and warranty expressly included
Operation and siteBuyer, authorities and contracted advisorsLicensing, registration, site permission, insurance, recurring inspections and remaining obligations

The actual contract and unit documents can assign details differently. Use the table to ask questions; do not use it to overwrite a signed scope.

03What a shell manufacturer sells

For MOBITRUCK, the core product is the designed shell system: the exterior form, prepared components and project-specific configuration created at the Estonian production stage. That product can feed a partner completion path rather than forcing every customer into one kitchen package.

A builder may be the customer. A restaurant operator may first find the shell, then ask a trusted U.S. builder to buy or receive it and complete the unit. A fleet buyer may want one shell language with different regional completion support.

The shell manufacturer should not claim credit for equipment, inspections or workmanship it did not supply.

04What the U.S. rolling-shell stage closes

Under today's path, Concession Nation assembles the MOBITRUCK shell kit into the U.S. rolling-shell stage, assigns the American VIN and performs the applicable vehicle-certification work for the stage it supplies. Project documents should state the manufacturer identity, running gear, weight and rating information, labels, origin or title-related records, handoff condition and written warranty scope applicable to the unit.

NHTSA materials explain manufacturer and certification responsibilities at the federal vehicle level. State registration agencies apply their own processes. Neither statement decides food-service or site approval.

05What the final builder sells

The final builder turns the rolling platform into the contracted business application. For a food trailer, its scope may include:

  • interior surfaces, counters, storage and equipment supports;
  • cooking, refrigeration, warewashing and food-service equipment;
  • electrical, plumbing, water and wastewater systems;
  • ventilation, fuel gas, fire suppression and HVAC where applicable;
  • plans, submissions, testing, inspections and customer handoff named in the agreement;
  • installed-equipment records and warranty or service instructions.

Some customers choose Concession Nation for this stage in Florida. Others direct the documented rolling shell to their own qualified builder. Read the U.S. builder receiving guide before choosing the second path.

If a supplier writes "included" without naming the document, model, test or boundary, ask again. The food trailer quote comparison gives a fuller bid-level worksheet.

07Keep four kinds of approval separate

ApprovalDeciding or responsible party
CommercialThe buyer accepts the brief, drawings, price and changes.
Vehicle-stage certification and recordsThe responsible manufacturer addresses the stage it supplies.
Food, fire and trade reviewThe relevant authorities and qualified parties address the proposed systems and operation.
Site permissionThe property owner and local agencies address where and how the unit may operate.

Treat "certified trailer" as incomplete until the speaker identifies which of these four subjects it covers.

FAQQuestions buyers usually ask

Who gives me the warranty?

Each responsible supplier should issue the written warranty for its supplied work, while installed equipment may carry manufacturer terms. Ask for the claim path, exclusions and labor responsibilities before acceptance.

Does using my own builder remove Concession Nation from the project?

Not under the current U.S. path. Concession Nation performs the rolling-shell, American VIN and applicable vehicle-certification stage before another qualified builder receives the project for final completion.

Is MOBITRUCK a food-trailer builder or a shell manufacturer?

MOBITRUCK's central role is shell design and shell-kit production in Estonia. The U.S. rolling-shell and final-completion roles are stated separately so buyers and other builders can use the product through the right partner path.

Can one contract cover everything?

Yes, if the contracting party truly includes and coordinates the stated stages. The proposal still needs stage-by-stage deliverables, exclusions, documents, acceptance and warranty ownership.
